Essential Information for Your First Visit

We've summarized everything you need to know to ensure your first visit goes smoothly and you feel prepared.

What to Expect on Your First Visit?

Your first visit is an important first step towards recovery. We will:

  • In-depth Discussion: Your therapist will take the time to listen carefully to your concerns, medical history, and recovery goals. We believe good understanding is key to successful therapy.
  • Comprehensive Examination: A physical evaluation will be conducted to assess your condition thoroughly. This may involve specific movement, strength, and functional tests.
  • Treatment Plan Explanation: Based on the findings, the therapist will explain the initial diagnosis (if possible) and design a personalized treatment plan for you. We will ensure you understand every step.
Initial Therapy (if appropriate): Often, some form of initial therapy or advice can be provided on the first visit to start alleviating your symptoms.
  • Opportunity to Ask Questions: This is your time to ask. Don't hesitate to clarify anything you don't understand. We want you to feel comfortable and informed.

The first visit usually lasts about 60-90 minutes. We are dedicated to giving you our full attention during your session.

What Should I Bring?

To ensure your first visit is efficient, please prepare the following:

  • ID & Insurance Card: If you are using insurance, please bring your insurance card along with an ID card.
  • Doctor's Referral (if any): If you have a referral letter from your doctor, please bring it.
  • Relevant Test Results: If you have X-rays, MRIs, or other medical test results related to your condition, these will be very helpful.
  • List of Medications: Prepare a list of medications, vitamins, or supplements you are currently taking.
Comfortable Clothing: Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows for easy examination of the affected body area (e.g., shorts for knee problems, a tank top for shoulder issues).
  • New Patient Forms (if completed): If you have downloaded and filled out the new patient forms from our website, please bring them.
